Pelvic Pain, Back Pain, & Pain in Vagina
Growing another human is not easy…that’s why women do it!
It is very common to experience pain & pressure as your body adjusts and grows to accommodate a growing baby - especially in your low back, pelvis, and vagina.
What can I take? Tylenol is safe during pregnancy, as well as muscle ache creams or patches such as Icy Hot or Salonpas. Anything stronger would require a prescription and cannot be called in per federal law. Narcotics cannot be called in per federal law and are not a good idea for your baby. See also medications while pregnant page.

Shooting pains in vagina and a lot of pressure in low pelvis in the third trimester is common and is called "lightning". It is due to the baby dropping into the pelvis. There isn't anything to make it go away, unfortunately, just try getting off your feet and rest.
